Explanation / Answer

Michael May is a blessed person. He has seen the best of both the worlds- with vision and without vision. For a normal healthy human being with working visual sense, it is difficult to accept that a person without vision can feel, sense and think happily. Michael May is a true example of a person with different abilities to overcome the challenges of life and emerge as a winner. The infant, devoid of language, does experience the world around him and stores the same in his memory. In the same manner May sets an example of a person, though being blind, took the challenge that life threw towards him and emerged as a winner.

Robert Kurson has very aptly narrated the story of May. Kurson’s narration is fast paced and full throttle. He inspires through his narration when May’s vision did not return in the way it was expected to be. Though there are some sections in the narrative that slow down the pace and seem out of context, yet the whole narration is gripping.

Despite being gripping, the only drawback of the narrative is May’s attraction towards beautiful women, not once but many a times.

The way Kurson has written this narrative is smooth and flowy and his style of writing is incredible.
