Interpersonal communication can be defined as speaking to and listening to the other person.It is a skill to communicate effectively with a person to convey a message.Good interpersonal skills increase productivity and reduce conflicts if any. Communication is the transfer of information from a sender to reciever.If there is no use of proper language or words communication is disrupted.Interpersonal skills are also known as softskills which is essential for day to day communication,in classes or at workplace.This includes assertiveness,decision making,problem solving good verbal or written skills.Some ways to improve interpersonal skills are to think positive,be an active listener and talk when the other person has finished talking, look for solutions rather than be critical,treat the other person with respect and value their views,do not force opinions,praise them rather than criticize,Choice of words and modulation of voice is important.nonverbal communication is more powerful as it does not exhibit any body language.We may be in situations where we are not politely spoken to, but patience and knowing how to handle the situation is essential.
