Western countires are more advanced in awareness about the mental health than asian countries. Mental health awareness has taken up a a good speed in our culture than before.
Ans a) Acc to Indian culture, mental health is peace, mental health is wealth. There are many old stories and proverbs which say about mental heath being wealth than money. There are many practises, ethics, social factors to regain the mental health. Even the Indian diet is the balanced diet, through food one can achieve peace of mind.
Ans ) India is a social country, Indians still have joint family, we love participating in community activity. Often Indians discuss their own problems in neihbourhood or family - this itself becomes the way to deal with mental health or stress relief.
Ans ) Going to a psychologist or psychiatrist was considered only for mentally challanged people. But now the block has been removed to much extent. There are many famous personalitues who discuss about their mental health on the social media. There often psycologist who discuss about the mnetal health issues in open. Mental helath awareness programme was celebrated very well.
Ans ) Usually while undergoing through stress, menatl helath programmes are essential or mental health is considered important. Often for there are free counselling sessions before the results to reduce the stress. There are free stress relief seminars for under previlaged women, Often practise of meditation is done openly now in parks or public places.
Ans ) These days such mental health providers are looked upon with great respect and not like a person who can treat mnetal illness only
