( urinary and reproductive ducts) in relation to the organs they drain ( be sure to contrast these ducts in males and females) what specializations have developed in amniotic vs fishExplanation / Answer
According to tripartite concept of kidney organization , the nephric tubules differ structurally within the nephric ridge. Nephric tubules that arise at the anterior region is called pronephrous , nephric tubules when arise at the middle region called mesonephrous and from the posterior region it is called metanephrous.
It's position of origin form the developmental basis of urogenital duct. for ex. Mesonephros is the functional kidney in sharks but mesonephros duct leaves it's primary urinary transport and get attached to testis to produce vasadifferentia ,epididymis and vasa deferense. But in adult elashmobranch accessory urinary duct as well as genital duct opens into common chamber called cloaca.
In amphibians during embryonic development mesonephros duct split into mullayam duct and distinguished male and female reproductive organ fused with urinary duct.
