Explanation / Answer
1. Parathormone.
This hormone works antagonistically to calcitonin. It draws calcium from the bones and is released in response to fall in blood calcium level. Its increased secretion causes withdrawal of more calcium from the bones which makes bone soft.
2. E. B and D.
Epiphysial plate is a hyaline cartilage plate at the two ends of long bone. Hyaline cartilage is also found on the articulating surface of joints.
3. B. The Z line, thin myofilaments and thickmyofilament align within a muscle fiber
