Any successful organisation, a team or a family needs a leader. A leader who is strong enough to hold on to, a leader who leads people, a leader who is knowledgeable, a leader who has foresight and vision.
CEO is the chief executive officer of the company whos job is to keep the company running under all circumstances. He manages almost everything in the company from procurement till product delivery. He needs several qualities to be a successful CEO.
leadership: A CEO can be a strong leader or soft leader. A strong leader demands action from subordinates and the soft leader convinces the subordinates for good deeds. A CEO should always be a front runner and should lead by examples.
innovation: The leader should be a knowledge seeker and appreciate the change. Only then he can be an innovator and encourage others to innovate.
marketing: Apart from being a good leader in production, a CEO should also know how to sell his products to clients. After all the CEO is the chief marketing guy in the company. His every action and judgements are analysed by clients.
work ethic: A leader leads by example. A good work environment needs healthy work ethics and who else can be the best person to look for if not CEO. Before expecting his employees to follow culture, he should be the best at it.
capital/finance management. A CEO is also a finance officer of the company. All boils down to finance and financial health. No matter how innovative you are, no matter how a great guy you are , if you are unable to keep the company balance sheet healthy, then you will loose credibility.
expansion: Any firm or company needs capacity and market expansion. The marker in ever increasing and can be tapped always. Expansion of the company activities and expansion of the client base is what keeps the finance of the company running. Expansion should be backed by a plan and strategy.
likeness: Appriatiation of the subordinates and respect from employees is must to run a company. It keeps the order and keeps the job running. Being liked by fellow people is the most important quality of a CEO, this imparts a positive vibe and futuristic look towards the company.
