Is the activity considered aerobic exercise ? Were your muscle fibers using aerobic or anaerobic cellular metabolism ? Was it a mixture? Were the muscle contractions mostly isometric or isotonic? Please be sure to explain your answers. If your activity included different movements(ex. circuit training with lifting and running), pick a specific example for this part of the discussion.

Explanation / Answer

The physical activity that i chose was cross crunch. I choose this workout to reduce my central obesity and reduce my waist size. The things that I liked about this was that the cross crunch is a simple activity, easy to do without professional help or trainer and gives good result in a short time. The only thing that I didn't like about this physical activity is that we have always to be lying on the ground while working out. I believe that this activity will help to achieve my goals like reducing body weight, reducing waist size, getting in shape and increase fitness and endurance. Because of this, I will definitely recommend this activity to anyone.

Cross crunch is performed by lying on the ground with arms and legs diagnolly out so that our body forms an 'X'. Then right arm is brought towards the left foot. Alternatively, left arm is brought towards the right foot and this process is repeated ten times.

Cross crunch focuses on lower abs, external and internal oblique muscles as well as rectus abdominis muscle. It is an anerobic exercise and muscle fibers use anaerobic metabolism. It is a type of isometric exercise as the length of muscle fibers remain constant.
