What kind of inferences can you make from these results as far as energy efficiency and performance is concerned? Although the subject’s VO2 max remained unchanged, do you think his or her training program was effective based on these results and why?

ANS) Although the VO2 that is maximum oxygen intake which determines the efficiency of a person's performance remains unchanged yes, still the training program was effective for the person because post training values indicated that energy expenditure of VO2 max was less than pre training due to greater usage of body fats which means that body's aerobic capacity has been increased. When a person's body undergoes an increase in its aerobic capacity the ability of heart and lungs to pump in pure oxygen is increased and hence, he/she gets cardio-vasularly fit supplying more oxygenated blood into muscles further increasing the metabolic activities and energy levels of the person.
