Explanation / Answer

Hi,

The quest for eternal youth has ever been man's dream. Even the great Kings and lords of Greek, the Mesopotamia, the aryans, the drawidians, the Romans... all had mythical stories about fountain of eternal youth or something like that. Even today we are draw to that and we seek to reverse aging by any means possible.
The aging is a hard truth which no living being can escape from. Aging is a manifestation of complex and multidimensional events in the body. The weakening of muscles, reduced bone density, blurred vision, impaired reflexes... such several events culminate into aging.
During aging, the muscle tone decreases and strength reduces. The lean muscle mass reduction is directly associated with aging. The muscle mass reduction is correlated with decrease in protein synthesis and reduction in enzyme activity. With aging the blood carrying capacity of hemoglobin decreases, resulting in less oxygen being supplied to muscles. Thus all those enzymes which are involved in aerobic reactions are hampered. Aging causes the muscles protein to be slowly synthesized as well as slowly recycled. But the muscle proteins and muscle fibres have amazing plasticity. With endurance training and resistance training even the aged body can retain and regain much of muscle mass and strength.
Pharmaceuticals have changed our lives by providing us with essential medications against pathogens. When it comes to aging pharmaceuticals are not of much help. Most of the creams and drugs of anti aging focuses on skin health and not on muscle or bone strength or overall body health. Skin is made to look fresh using moisturizers, hormones and vitamins (A, E, K). But it is only a superficial remedy but will not reduc or slow down aging process.
