Yes exercise causes a temporary rise in blood pressure. WHen we exercise the body, the muscles undergo a workout and the heart has to supply oxygen to the needed muscles. So,the heart pumps faster which increases the blood pressure. This increase in blood pressure helps the heart to supply the needed blood supply with oxygen. If the blood pressure does not rise, the heart cannot keep up with the demand for oxygenated blood.
