Nothing could be further from the principles of green architecture than the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and, In particular, the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. A recent global analysis of ecological resource use concludes that the UAE is the least environmentally friendly country in the world, mostly due to its reliance on air conditioning and desalinated water. But how different is Dubai from, say, ultra-dense New York City or sprawling Los Angeles? What motivates such practices? How should we address them?

Dubai is different from New York or Los Angeles in many ways:-

-Climate is one thing which completely change the life style of people living in different regions or countries.Dubai is a warm country with average of temperature of 30 deg. and NY has an aaverage temperature of 15 deg.

-Dubai is less populated with 400 people per square Km and NY has more than 10000 people per square Km.

-Availablity of oil (fuel) in abundance make transportation cheap here comparatively New York.

-Employment opportunity for people are more in dubai due to various Infrastructue and development projects.New York has less opportunities so more unemployment rate.

-Living in Dubai is less expensive compare to New York.so,affordable living.

-Water is not available there naturally like any river while New York has rivers.

Thus, Dubai is a country with less population and strong economy which afford to take steps to raise the living standard of people ,so It has 30 desalination Plant for water availability and many reverse osmosis plant for drinking water .Temperature is maintained at all working ,living places, institution by installing Air Conditioning system everywhere ,which make it higher on carbon emission countries list.

Dubai has trade with other countries .It supplies oil to them and in return import food grians ,food items from them.

Carbon emission Control is on it's way.The City planning focuse mainly sustainable development projects.,Installing more solar plants to depend 30% on solar energy by 2030.Reducing water consumption by recycling ,reusing and promoting awareness among citizens.
