#2 Childhood: Reflect on the influence of family characteristics on your socialization and development during childhood. Explanation / Answer

Our family was upper middle class living in a fairly big house, not a huge house and both my parents used to work, so financially we were well off. I know this because we had a good car and i used to study in a good school and had a house in a good neighbourhood. Our ethnic group was a Germanic family who has settled in america, but we identify us as Americas us we are the third generation american. But, on few occasion our family, especially the elder members follow some Germanic rituals and celebrate Germanic festivals. Our family did not practice any religion, nor did they impose any religion on us when we were children. During my school years, even though there was no religious beliefs in our family, i believed in god and this helped me a lot during my childhood, as it gave me courage and help to combat many life's difficult situations, My family wanted for me to get a good education, and wanted me to do what i like, and they always encouraged me to do well in academics. I had a happy childhood and did not experience any problems during school. My upbringing has taught me to provide love and care for my family and raise children with love and freedom and also instil discipline in them.
