Explanation / Answer
In the context of the given question,
1. Leadership is an inspired personality trait when people follow their leader voluntarily. Whereas, Management, has a manager that instructs or commands their subordinates to follow his/her order at the workplace to finish a task or a project.
However, there are similarities, that in both the cases, there is a central figure(namely a leader or a manager) who has people under them. So there is a system of hierarchy.
2. If we compare and contrast the leadership evolvement over the 19th to the 21st centuries, leaders were born in the early 19th century, and by their charisma and influence, could bring people or their followers close to them, and make them follow certain beliefs/principles which the leader would bring mass benefit.
Whereas in the current age, leaders are evolved with experience and outlook, we can now witness young leaders who by their intellect have followers following them. For Example: young entrpreneurs and professionals have exhibited leadership traits such that people have made them their mentor to follow their practices in their own professions and lives.
3. Emotional intelligence refers to a persons ability to manage their personality weaknesses/emotions and instead use these to prove their strength. Thus, emotions and weaknesses are controlled and used as an opportunity to transform them into strengths. This also becomes a source of inspiration, and can be used to influence people. Thus, this becomes effectively leadership.
4. Transactional leadership is all about supervising and monitoring that the group achieves its performance goals
Transformational leadership is all about enhancing the motivation and morale of their followers to perform effectively. In my opinion, transformational leadership works better in a corporate setup.
