Constructive theory of Piaget state that people’s knowledge and perception are based on their experiences.
This theory consists theories of learning, methods of teaching, and reforms in education.
Main elements which create the development of new knowledge of an individual are assimilation and accommodation.
Assimilation causes absorption of new ideas into old experiences. On the other hand, accommodation refers to reframing new idea and word into mental capacity.
Children from age 2 to 7 exhibit preoperational stage. In this stage children tends to become less egocentric and tries to understand thing from others perspective. Their interest and curiosity increases in this stage.Hence,five year boy should be encouraged to interact with his new-born sister and at the same time he should not be neglected.
