Question
Throughout the course, we have discussed the concept of “sexual scripts,” or culturally available ideas about sexuality that we manifest in our lives. This is an example of how sexuality is socially constructed. Describe one such “sexual script” (ex. “men are/should be…,” “women are/should be…,” “people are/should be….”) What consequences (positive and/or negative) does it have for the ways people behave or think about themselves or others? How do we know it might not necessarily be true? How might we imagine it differently?
Explanation / Answer
There are several such scripts in the world history but one script I will discuss today regarding human relations is : Men seeks sex and gives love, women seeks love and thus give sex.
This is a beautiful relationship chemistry between a man and an woman and this thing is followed by the world since begining, but now in the fastest world with no time human beings are getting mechanical type thus this above mentioned situations is changing gradually. Sometimes vice versa of the situation mentioned above also occoured and women seeks sex while men denies to provide it as biological system also gets affected due to stress, less sleep , over night work , diabetes, junk foods etc.
