Explanation / Answer
Maslow developed his hirearchy theory in way back in 1943-1954, in those days the needs which are well described by the pyramid were or are much valid, such as first four are D - needs dependecny needs - Physiological needs - food, water, sleep sex etc,Safety needs - Security, law, stability etc, Love and belongingness - trust, intimacy, affection, love, friendship, Esteem needs - esteem for onself dignity, mastery, independence, respect from others etc, Self - Actualization needs - realizing personal potential, self fulfillment, growth, personal potential - ( these are Being needs B needs).
Maslow's theory does not includes today's needs such as fitness as stated by Erik Weihenlayer, which if of utmost importance. Erik Weihenmayer was the first blind man to climb the everest. By living un healthy life style, one is victim to so many dieases. Hence maintaining a healthy life style. This should be there between Love and belongingness and esteem needs
Mind Peace - This need is very important as well. and Acc to me this should be included in basic needs. In this fast world, one tends to forget by doing what a man get happiness from, is it having something or just satisfaction. In this competitive world it is necessary maintain mind balance to greater extent.other wise one is again a victim to sadness, jealousy, depression, revenge, mind instability, anxoiusness which again leads to unhealthy lifestyle.
Transcendece needs - In this a person is motivated by things which goes beyond personal self such belief in some karmic power, or some concepts like truth, faith, goodness etc, service to others.
