Answer-1- The brain of dyslexic persons are organized differently from those without dyslexia. The brain of a person with dyslexia has structural differences in two parts which are the cerebral cortex and the thalamus. The brain is made up of two major components - grey matter and white matter. Grey matter is composed of nerve cells and its main function is to process information. The white matter lies in the deeper parts of the brain and its decreased amount creates problem in reading. Its main function is to connect fibres and create communication between nerves.Researchers have found that people with dyslexia have less grey matter than non-dyslexic persons. Lack of grey matter causes issues with the sound structure of language. These things help us to understand the biological base of dyslexia. The diference in dyslexic brain creates different kind of information processing. The role of the brain in dyslexia is studied in terms of brain anatomy and its functions. The differences in the brain system help the researchers to identify the causes of dyslexia and to facilitate the best treatment options for it.
Answer-2- Dyslexia is a reading disorder which affects people at different level. A person with dyslexia faces the problems including the difficulties in spelling words, writing words, reading and understanding etc. The causes of dyslexia may be both genetic and environmental. Dyslexia is diagnosed in a child with the help of memory tests, spelling, vision and reading skills. But in some children, it can not be identified until they have trouble with more complex skills like grammar, reading comprehension, reading fluency, structure of a sentence etc. Sometimes parents or teachers think that a child is facing attention issues and problem of dyslexia remains undiagnosed. Another reason of not diagnosing a child may be lack of proper education or training of teachers. Parents and teachers need to be aware of the symptoms and should try to improve this situation.
