First of all i will try to explore the term terrible twos. The second part of question asked for website link unfortunately that i am not supposed to do as per terms and conditions. So let us begin the term terrible twos implies the developmental issues that occurs in the child around the age of two years mainly during the transition period to become toddler. Some useful strategies to deal with the temper tantrums are- a) During the time of impulsive behaviour or anger outbursts of a child parents should keep their emotions under check, remain calm if your emotion shows anger, child's temper will increase automatically. b) Wait your child's temper to settle down till the time do not confront, give guidance afterwards in a relaxed & sweet tone & reassure that you love your child so much! c) studies & researches shows that the temper tantrums often takes place regularly most oftenly when a child is hungry, exhausted, bored or feeling sleepy. Pay attention to your child's non verbal reactions & behave in advance before the situation becomes out of your control. For example put your child down for a nap if you observe your child feeling sleepy or give some snacks if you feel your child is too hungry. d) Encourage your child's independence give support when your child needed the most, give them freedom to do the right things. Teaching from time to time how to deal with the emotions with help immensely to deal with temper tantrums phenomenon. Time out is an effective method provided use with care & tobe used for short duration of time only not for longer duration as can bring your child to become resentful. Use time out in a way so as to teach your child the lesson of self regulation. Never forget to use the method of Time-In, Time shows discouragement towards bad behaviour likewise Time -In gives importance towards good behaviour.Giving your child proper attention & care for their needs atleast fulfilling them what's required only not only shows love but also shows that you care for them. Always try to give clear explanation rather saying no beause they what to listen why? always help your child feel loved no matter what so - ever.
