Question

Explanation of Nelson from chegg expert but I need it to relate to the video I attached and am having trouble.

"Nelson developed the Occupational Form and Performance model. He defines occupational form as "preexisting structure that elicits, guides or structures subsequent human performance" and occupational performance as "human actions taken in action to an occupational form".

Occupational Forms are objective sets of circumstances, independent and external to a person. It has two types of dimensions- physical stimuli like materials, surrounding environment, human and temporal context, in the immediate environment and sociocultural reality.

All occupations has a sense of purposefulness. It is the goal orientation of the individual/group and a link between individuals/groups developmental structure and occupational performance. Pupose of the occupational performance varies to a person, depending on the meaning of the occupational form it has to him.

Adaptation is a change aided by occupation. It is the effect on individual's developmental structure not exclusively due to physical means. It may occur from individual's purposefulness and occupational performance."

Describe the occupational form using the categories of Nelson, and any unique meaning and purpose a particular individual or group brings to the occupational performance of that form (see video link)
