Explanation / Answer

Behavioural psychologist would view this therapy very powerful in treating anxiety. It is remarkable ad cost effective comparred to anu medicaton. Behavioural approach is primaraily concerned about observable and measurable aspects of human behaviour. The behavioural therapist is intrested in understanding the mechanism of bithe normal and those with problems. Behavioural therapy is started by educating person about the illness and the symptoms, hence the possible physical and emotional symptoms were explained, secondly it is also told by that anxiety can be reduced, hence the regular practise would help in reducing anxiety. Through cognitve behaviour therapy the anxiety disorder can be reduced. Jacob would shown his behaviour and explained reasons behind the such anxiety and other approaches such as to prepare well, to keep short term goals for studying, making time table etc.

Humanistic approach studies how past can be affects the problems of today. It allows the patinet into more healthier and productive practises of self awareness and thoughtful actions. Humanistic psychologist enourages the patient to focus on their inner goodness (person centred therapy) . It is treated with unconditional positivity, empathy etc. For eg. in Gestalt's therapy explores on reasons of getting disturbed. Hence Jacob would be completely understood as in why is he having anxiety, are those subjects out of his capacity?

Cognitive approaches - According to cognitive therapy dysfunctional thoughts leads to extreme emotions, these extreme emotions in turn lead to maladaptive behaviour. Therapies such as REBT by Albert Ellis focuses on irrational core beliefs such I must excel in all things. REBT therapist have systematic approach to relpace these beliefs and saying that life can be unfair there is no much need to worry about. Hence rational thinking produces systematic emotions.
