9) The correlational research is where the researcher has one variable x.It is the relationship between two variables and events.The researcher will have a second variable y and he will determine if x is related to y.In correlational research the researcher will not influence the variables.In experimental research the researches can control or influence the variable to get different results.For example a researcher can control the noise variable in a class to study the nature of productivity of children in a particular subject.

11) Certain experiments are designed with a control group.It can defined as a group seperated from the experiment where the independant variable which is tested does not influence the results.Therefore this group is not exposed to the experiment.
Within subjects experiments can be defined as as study to measure how much a person can change over time in a given sample.There is only one treatment combination,observation on subjects are not independant,the same subject is observed before or after the treatment.
Between subjects design there is a comparison of two groups to find out the effects of the treatment and the responses appear only in one group.There is random assigment of an individual to any of the groups in an experiment.
12) An independant variable is a variable that can be changed or controlled in an experiment to test the dependant variable.The dependant variable is dependant on the independant variable.For example if the researcher wants to study the effects of sleep due to light effect,the independant variable is the light as he wil adjust the light to study the effects of sleep, which is the dependant variable.
18) Since many years animals have been used for testing.In my opinion animals should not be used as testing as they are a living being and they are put to unfavorable conditions during testing.The animals can be permitted only in conditions where they is no risk or suffering involved in the study.
