Respectful Communication according to me is the key in accomplishing the tasks successfully in this multicultural, global and multinational business world. It's about understanding the other person in the communication loop without any prejudice or preconceived notions. It's about listening to them empathetically and considerately.
Respectful Communication is also about understanding the signs and symbols of the other person's culture and respect it and act accordingly, otherwise one may hurt the emotional attachment of the other person's culture.
Respectful Communication is about coming out of one's racial, ethnic and economic biases in order to treat people equally. It's coming out of one's ego and coming out of one's superiority complex. It's a kind of give and take policy where things are mutual.
