Question

Perception" Please respond to the following: Describe three (3) ways our perception of self and others affects our perception of information. Next, share an experience in which your perception of self or others interfered with effectively communicating or receiving a message. Discuss three (3) ways improving self-perception can help you improve your communication in professional, academic, personal, and civic aspects of your life. Discussions are a very important part of the online classroom, and you are expected to participate in every one of them. Steps for completing the discussions are below. 1. Complete all the reading and watch all the lectures for the week before responding to the discussion topic. Very often the discussion topic is based on the required reading or the lecture for the week. 2. Your initial response to the topic should be a well-developed paragraph of 50-100 words. 3. Make sure that you check the discussion for spelling and grammar errors before you submit it since these are part of the grade. 4. Once you have completed your initial response, you can respond to what your classmates have posted in their original responses. The responses to your classmates should be insightful and help to continue the discussion. Do not simply state that you agree or that you like their response. Respond in the same way that you would if you were all sitting in a classroom talking. These responses should be approximately 50 words. 5. Post your initial response by Tuesday or Wednesday of each week. This will give everyone ample time to respond to classmates. 6. Post your response to your classmates by Saturday or Sunday. 7. The discussion rubric is posted in the Student Center. Please review the rubric before completing the first discussion. If you have any questions about how to complete the discussions or about topics, please let me know.
