It is not possible and always have the same solution for the various conflicts. IT takes experience, leadership quality and proactive skills to draw the best conclusion corresponding to conflicts.
Let's consider various conflicts mentioned here, If Joe thinks to give the same conclusion which is based on his aggressive approach to each conflict then probably he can either satisfy the customer or he can follow the company policy.
So responsible person has to take care of each and every aspect such as customer satisfaction, company policies, retaining a customer , driving profitability. After keeping all essential points in mind, they daw a different conclusion, which is suitable to the corresponding conflict.
Conflict 1: Joe apologised to Maria and retained the customer, but he will make sure that he doesn't have to pay medical bill.
Conflict 2:Joe guide the customer how to ask a manufactruing company about the rebate. But cannot provide a rebate in cash.
Conflict 3:Joe has to make the customer understand that it is not their product's fault.The company can not provide warranty claim after Six month from expiry of warranty. This is not a fraud. If he could have maintained equipment carefully then it would have last additional 5-7 years.
Conflict- 4 :Joe has to find out sitting with the management team to find out best possible rate, otherwise he will lose the customer
TO conclude, It is necessary to come to a conclusion which has a balance of customer satisfaction, company's profitability and other factors.These conclusions are not same for different conflicts.
