Question

Creating the Online Customer Experience

The quality of the customer experience produced by a company is the standard by which a meaningful marketspace presence is measured. The customer experience is defined as all of the interactions that a customer has with a company’s website, from the initial look at the home page through the entire purchase decision process. Companies produce the customer experience through seven website design elements.

The seven website design elements are context, content, community, customization, communication, connection, and commerce. The context is the site’s aesthetic appeal while the content is the digital information. Communication facilitates user individualization while connection reflects the linkages between other websites. Connection and community capture the social effects while commerce captures the transactional impact.
