Industrial Revolution in Britan
Until 18th century the Britan was leading the days by using the ancient method of agriculture and there was nothing new. During 18th century people started bringing in new technologies and urbanizing the nation by creating the roads, railways for hundreds of miles and started developing the better infrastructure. They built the longest tunnels anywhere in the world. Many factories specially manufacturing sectors started developing and slowly made Britan the wealthiest nation in the world and the ruler of largest empire in the world. The 18th century was very crucial for Great Britan which transformed the nation and also it was important to the entire world.
The revolution did not happen only for Britan but it was for the entire world. Until the revolution wood was the only source in Britan and it was supplying fuel for the small industries and as the population increased the demand started getting more for timber and therefore the price started increasing. So, the nation wanted more power and started looking for Coal which is a form of energy provides 3 times more power than wood. Since it was costly to import from other country so they started harvesting coal. The demand for Coal made people to dig more and since it was very difficult to pull coal digging and anyone gets the coal by digging they would make huge amount of money. The profit motive started bringing the Industrial Revolution. So, the people in Britan started creating the steam engine where it can pull the coal by digging itself. The engine was going 100 feet below the ground level to pull the Coal.
Even the steam engine which was created was not so effective. Also several years passed and people also started increasing and many scientist started grouping together giving many innovative ideas for what is to be done. In Birmingham as a result within a few years soho manufacturing industry developed the most powerful steam engine and they did not stop there and they continued to make improvements to the engine and made it very powerful. The company became the first company who developed the steam engine to produce energy. In 1700 the Birmingham developed from small town to a big city which happened due to frequent innovation and new technology.
The Industrial revolution was well underway in Britan even in 19th century. Almost during the end of 18th century Britan started developing the liberal political and economic climate than any other European power. Due to solid political base slowly people started doing their own business and started making profits. To look at the political condition with Britan’s great rival France which was more stabilized and rich in minerals which had great control in political and economic line. The authorities in Paris wanted to utilize steam for a basic purpose to pump water to the rapidly growing cities in Paris. Many French engineers responded to the problems they started discussing on the issue. Due to this the France people bought two major steam engineer to build it in France. Many engineers in France started working out on many ideas. Collecting and checking the scientific innovation and publish the information in order to make the information public. But the process was very long and it took a very long time for the publication to make it happen.
In Britan the individuals were not supposed to come up with idea, instead have a financial arrangement and build a machine. In great britan people realised that building more of engines can build more wealth. Britan started investing more of its revenue to make the Navy strong and ensure that private traders are safe and they make more profit Whereas France was doing other way round. As a result Britan became the Navy’s super power in the world but situations changed after 2nd world war. The Royal Navy played major role in expanding the source of the empire. Due to the huge profits they started bringing good not only from carribean but also from North America and spices from India and Tea from China. Due to glorious liberalization the investors started making money and take profit. Slowly the government started intervening and entrepreneurship was getting phsophocated. Entrepreneurship was the heart of the British success. Slowly British started trading and making profits by importing many goods and selling it in Britan. People started investing money and by then Brtian already started exporting the products they grow and profit was coming towards the people. This made a huge financial revolution and due to this may other business opened up like banks, stock broking agencies and people started investing money there. People started building the bigger textile industries and now Britan is the mightiest revolution in the world.
In 18th century there was a commitment towards new innovations, ideas which made the change enlightened. The economic condition strengthened Industrial revolution. New Idea’s, new wealth made people invest money in business and booked profits. It set the world in which we now live.
It is very much agreed what speaker has said. From 18th century till 19th century Britan has actually made a great revolution in improving the business in Britan and made a big business hub. The way the government supported the people in Britan, the way Britan built its own kingdom in business, the way the people started investing money in business was really commendable. Today London stands out to be the biggest giant in Coal manufacturer.
