Explanation / Answer

1. A financially conscious person shop for week's use of groceries for breakfast and at least one other meal a day.

An individual who is financially conscious would be planning for the usage of ingredients for the breakfast in which there would be the lowest expenditure. Below are the points which would help the individual take benefit of all the available offers and options to ensure he or she spends as less as possible:

a. Weekly ads of store bargains/sales : Normally, in most of the retail or departmental store, there are offers running on one weekday or some special days. A financially conscious person would plan to purchase the items on which the offers are available and ensure his or her finances come down.

b. Use of store reward card : Most of the departmental stores offer reward cards which gives cashback points or upfront discounts to ensure their customers visit their stores for longer period on a regular basis. An individual who is satisfied with the services offered and the products available at the store would opt for the membership card which gives additional benefits on every purchase. A financially conscious person would always be looking for these benefits as it helps them reduce their spend. For this, they assess the upfront amount they pay for a specified period and how much benefit they can make out of it in the specified time period.

c. Use of manufacturer's coupons : Coupons provided by manufacturers also helps in saving money as there are discounts/cashbacks that are provided while using the coupons.
