Suppose a OEM (Original Equipment manufacturer) company manufacure a mobile phone for its customer(Customer is third party). Company is making a mobile phone by assebly process. Third party got a feedback from market that its mobile phone mic is not working proper. As a result third party take a decision that they will replace the mobile mic. They send the request to OEM to immediate change the part with different partcode.

If OEM company change this process in assembly, The whole project will get affect in terms of-

Downstream Activity- If this is immediate change by customer so OEM have to hold the assembly line and wait for approval of part change.

Project Cost- An immediate change in part will hold the assembly line. As a result project duration will increase. Manpower engagement will increase because they need immediate change in following- Production process. Bill of material and Product Testing.

Other factors which affect the projects-
