There are 16 teams from the East, 16 teams from the South, 16 teams from the West and 16 teams from the Midwest. In each division (East, South, West, and Midwest), the teams compete in a single elimination tournament to determine the best team from their respective division. Then, the top East team plays the top South team and the top West team plays the top Midwest team. The winners of these games go on to play a nal match to determine the champion. For one division top team ,

number of games to be played = 8+4+2+1

= 15

Therefore for, four division top teams

Number of games to be played = 4 * 15

= 60

Out of four top teams to become top of all the teams,

Number of games to be played = 2 + 1

= 3

Therefore total games played = 60 + 3

= 63
