Rewrite the following argument as a standard form of categorical syllogism using these categories: I ( people who ignore the facts), M( people who are likely to be mistaken), O (people who are truly objective). Note which immediate inferences you use, and state whether it is valid or not. If invalid, state the rule violated.

Only those who ignore the facts are likely to be mistaken. All who are truly objective are not likely to be mistaken. Hence no one who ignores the facts is truly objective.

So we have non I are likely non M.....(1)

All O are likely non M.....(2)

Therefore from (1) and (2),

Non I are all OO i.e no one who ignore the facts is truly objective.
