a. The target population of fitness center on the basis of age should lie in the age bracket 15-50 Years.
The target population of fitness center on the basis of location can be divided on the basis of an individual's house distance from the fitness center lets say we survey two set of people i) Houses within 10 miles ii) Houses within 50 miles.
The target population of fitness center on the basis of fitness level can be divided on the basis of instensity i) Body builders ii) Regular excercisers.
b. The best way to identify and subsequently sample the target individual be to take a survey and know about their gym prefrences, for example question 1) How much distance are they willing to travel for visiting a gym or 2) What kind of gym instruments they want to spend more time on which can tell us if they are i) Body builders ii) Regular excercisers.
c. Question 1(Quantitative) What is your age? Question 2(Qualitative) How much distance are you willing to travel for visiting a gym? Question 3(Qualitative) What kind of gym instruments you would like to have in a gym where you workout? Question 4(Qualitative) Which are your preferred workout timings? Question 5(Quantitative)Do you prefer having a instructor guide you well in a fitness centre?
d.Obtaining a Simple random sample would not be feasible beacause the random sample would contain a lot of biases for instance if we survey people beyond the age bracket the overall results can reflect that people dont mind traveling much for a gym but for the actual trageted population which would or would not be the case, these potential biases can be removed if we segment/target the right set of people we survey so for instance we can target the survey amongst a particular age group and the ones who particularly lives withing a ceratin radius of the fitness centre.
