We want to examine if intake on ginger help people to recover erlier after a flue comparing with placebo. 10 employees on a certain workplace intake 4 ginger tables per day. 12 employees are in a comparison group, they intake 4 sugar tables per day but are told that is a ginger tablet. This is done until the employee is completely loose of the flue. The time that takes each employee to recover on the flue is given in days:

Below are the null and alternate hypothesis

From the given data we have

p-value = 0.061

As p-value is greater than significance level of 0.02, we failed to reject the null hypothesis.

this means there are not sufficient evidences to conclude that ginger shortenes the time that takes the people to recover on the flue.

(b)

Employer did not calculate it right because p-value is still greater than significance level of 0.05
