1. The two types of diversity in a health care organization are Racial and Cultural Diversity.
In United State, one fourth of the population is Black/Hispanic, but they represent only 9% in the healthcare workforce. By having racial and cultural diversity, the disparity can be eliminated in the healthcare due to language barriers. By having a representative of their own race and culture, make a patient more comfortable and he/she can share their problems more freely. This will help in improving the overall healthcare facility.
2. The presence of diverse workforce is very essential in maintaining the high moral of the employees. A healthcare center with diverse workforce is regarded well in the society and thus very helpful in attracting the talented people. Also, the employees working with such diverse work culture, take proud in it and are more likely to stay with the organization.
