has a generation time of 2 h, how many cells will be in the
culture after 6h, and 8h?
Use the equation Nt= N0*2^n

, where N0 is the initial number
of cells, n is the number of generations, and X is the number
of cells after n generations.
After 6h, n =
6h/2 h per generation -
3 generations:
Nt= 2^n*N0
= 2^3*10^4= 8.0*10^4
After 8h, n = 8h/2h
4 generations:

Nt= 2^n*N0
= 2^4* 10^4 cells

= 16*10^4 cells
