A = 26 + 16 = 42 + 8 = 50

Using the plurality method

30 - 16 = 14 left

Majority > 1/2 x 14

M > 7

Majoriy = 8

B = 18

C = 42 + 6 = 48

D = 34

Hence he needs 24 votes

b. For C to win the election

A = 26

B = 18

C = 42 + 12 = 54

30 - 8 = 22

Maj > 1/2 x 22

Maj > 11

Majority = 12

D = 34 + 8 = 42 + 10 = 52

Hence he needs 12 more votes out of remaining 30 votes to win.
