Question
It's the same question but I had to add the other information. Thank you. 6.56 In the service garage of a large automobile dealer, customers spend the following amounts, during each visit, for maintenance and repair of their motor vehicles Distributions Dollars Less than $200 $200 but less than $400 $400 or more Percentage of customers 40 40 20 What is the probability that on a certain day, among six randomly selected customers, three will spend less than $200, two will spend $200 and under $400,an one will spend $400 or more?Explanation / Answer
The required probability is:
P = W*0.43*0.42*0.2
Here W is the multiplicity.
For this case, W = (6!)/(3!*2!*1!) = 60
So,
P = 60*0.43*0.42*0.2 = 0.123
