Given,

Distance, s = 45 m

Initial Speed, u = 85 km/h = 23.61 m/s

Final speed, v = 0 m/s

Applying Newton's 3rd equation of motion,

v2 = u2 + 2as

Acceleration, a = (-23.61)2/ (2 x 45) = -6.20 m/s2

b) g's in this acceleration a = a/ g = 6.20/9.8 = 0.632
