Let W be the motors weight. W will be given by

W = f1 + f2

W = 600 + 400 = 1000 N

Hence, W = 1000 N

Let x, be the distance of motor from man who exerts f1= 400 N. then the distance of f2 application will be (2 - x)

Considering sum of torques,

400 x = 600 (2 - x)

4 x = 12 - 6x

x(4 + 6) = 12 => x = 12/10 = 1.2 m

Hence, x = 1.2 m
