Alternative 1:
Cost of 500 pounds of Meat 2 = $0.87 X 500 = $ 435
Fat quantity = 10 % X 500 = 50 pounds
Protein quantity = 75% X 500 = 375 pound
Alternative 2 :
cost of 250 pounds of Meat 1 + 250 punds of Meat 3 = 0.75 X 250 + 0.98 X 250 = 187.5 + 245 = 432.5
Fat quantity in the blend = 15% X 250 + 4% X 250 = 47.5 pounds
Protein quantity in the blend = 70% X 250 + 80% X 250 = 375 pounds
(a) The two alternatives are summarised in the Decision Table below:

(b) Both the alternatives result in buying the same quantity of meat, 500 kg. Hence, Considering the 3 objectives of minimising cost, minimising fat % and maximising protein %, alternatve 2 is better. since it results in same quantity of protein, but lesser fat quantity and also lesser $ cost.
Hence Alternative 2 is recommended.
