2. The company needs to draft a policy to avoid data entry errors. Once a patient wishes to receive service, the person attending should check the previous record of the person and see the details that exist in the system. Only the details that can change is "Payment type", rest all remains consistent. Parameters like DOB and name should remain consistent across all MRN's. The company can build a system such that when a patient revisits and data is entered, a backend algorithm is run to see if the patient already exists in the system. If Yes, data such as DOB and name can be pre-populated OR if this is not possible then if the system detects a repeat patient then it should throw an error in case wrong data is entered for the patient. The system can match real-time data entered vs existing data.
