Remember this is discrete manufacturing, thus if anything is wrong with a part from operation 1, it is culled and only the good parts move on to operation 2. The same process of inspection, removal of bad parts and then input to the next sequential operation happens for each of the operations. How many parts should Operation 1 start with in order to ship 6000 good parts?
