The following box plot was repared based on data collected for a sample o 400 homes n zpcode 12345 and represents he distribution o e number of d ays at a home as on being sold. According to the graph, The 100 homes that were on the market for the longest time, were on the market for more thandays. man befor 210 150 110 T 50 Selected Answer: 210

Explanation / Answer

From the box plot we have minimum number of days the homes were on the market is 50 days,

And maximum number of days the homes were on the market for sale is 210,

Also first quartile is 90 days, that means 25% of the homes are sold before 90 days

Meadian is 110, So 50% homes are sold by 110 days and 50% remain

Also third quartile is 150, So 75% homes are sold till 150 days.

Now as 75% of 400=300

So after 150 days there are 400-300=100 homes still to be sold.

So the answer is 150 days
