Question
This is litearlly word for word out of my textbook: Write in prefix and infix notation: x2w+yz*-/
Thats it. No other info, and thats why i tried giving a little myself. This is Discrete Mathematics and is a math class for computer science, but its technically "other math" I guess. This is an example: *+2x4 implies *(2+x)4 implies (2+x)*4
I know that in prefix the operation is before the operand and in infix the operation is in between the operands. I just don't understand how you can tell how to rewrite it without seeing the actual tree first. Any help is appreciated, and please explain why you do what you do :)
Explanation / Answer
infix notation means we have to do according to BODMAS whether it is consisting of many operator and operations . but in prefix we have to check where the operator present then we have to statt operation from right side and ends in left side. The given expression x2w+yz*-/ it is a prefix term. if we write this in infix format then the equartion becomes
x+2*y/z
Then we have to calculate it using BODMAS
