Explanation / Answer

a) as sampling is done with out replacement

probabilty that first card is club=13/52 as there are 13 club cards out of 52 in a deck

and if first card is club there remain 12 card of club in 51 cards

hence probabilty that first card is club and second card is a club is =(13/52)*(12/51)=0.059

b) with sampling if first card is club , again there are 13 club in a deck of 52

hence probabilty that first card is club and second card is a club is = (13/52)*(13/52)=0.0625

7) probabilty that both television works =P(selecting first out of 6 good*second out of 5 remaining good sets)

=(6/10)*(5/9)=0.333

probability that at least one does not work=1-P(both does work good)=1-0.333=0.667
