Endangered species are those that cannot adjust with their surroundings. For example, many birds are endangered species due to hunting, pollutions, and deforestation.
If a species is threatened, it means the species is in danger at any means whether of endangered or vulnerable.
The other important term is vulnerable, which implies the loss of species’ natural habitats and poaching. For example, due to the increased populations of African lions, the other living species are in danger; vulnerable.
