Come up with a research question that could be addressed by a repeatedmeasures ANOVA with three levels (Hint: you need 3 measurements per person).  You can make up the scales needed to measure the DV if you want. Feel free to be as creative as you need to be.  

A) MAKE SURE you describe how the data were collected to set it apart from the oneway ANOVA.

B) Explain the advantage(s) of using the repeatedmeasures ANOVA over the oneway ANOVA.

C) Explain conceptually the difference between the MS within and the MS error.

Explanation / Answer

The given question deals with the study of ANOVA for any given data set under consideration.Now the sample is obtained and ANOVA is conducted.

A.

The data is selected at random for the weight and playing time at three deifferent levels for students of a class, and then the data s studied along with ANOVA table construction.The data is obtained by repeated data collected for each of the levels and for each student.

B.

The repeated measure leads to a lower variance and hence lower error for the study than the one-way ANOVA, which gives a good ineference about the population and hence better result can be obtained.

C.

The difference between the MS, Mean Square for within and error, is that the MS within is the ratio of the Sum of Squares and the degrees of freedom for the data for each of the levels for the data on the study, while the error is the ratio for the data for the different levels under consideration.
