Question
The output below reflects the results of a study examining three therapeutic intervention styles on depression ratings following 10 weeks of treatment. State the null and research hypotheses, assess the assumptions of ANOVA, and interpret the results (F-ratio, post hoc results when applicable), and describe the outcome of the study with respect to null hypothesis. Include as much information as you think could be relevant.

The error term is Mean Square(Error).994 *. The mean difference is significant at the.05 levelExplanation / Answer
ANSWER:
Null hypothesis: All the three therapeutic intervention styles on depression are equally effective( no significant difference in means)
Alternative hypothesis: All the three therapeutic intervention styles on depression are not equally effective( significant differ in means)
Assumptions of ANOVA:
Sample should be drawn from normal
Results interpretation:
(1) There was a significant difference between the effects of three interventions (p<0.05). THAT IS ALL THE TREATMENT EFFECTS WERE NOT EQUALLY EFFECTIVE( WAS ACCEPTED).
Hence the mean depression score was found to be less in client centered theraphy compared to other therapies
(2) Coming to the post-hoc analysis for multiple comparisons all the mean differences were found to be statistically significant (p<0.05). That is 1&2, 1&3, 2&3 therapeutic interventions.
(3) The model coefficient (slope) was also significantly different from zero
(4) Leven's F-Statistic p >0.05 means that equal variances were assumed
