Question
res 2 hours of fabrication and 1 hour of assembly, component EB A small company manufactures three different electronic components for computers Component A requit requires 3 hours of fabrication and 1 hour of assembly, and component C requires 2 hours of fabrication and 2 hours of assembly. The company has up to 1,150 labor-hours of fabrication time and 950 labor-hours of assembly time available per week. The profit on each component, A B, and components of each type should the company manufacture each week in order to maximize its profit (assuming that all components manufactured can be sold)? What is the maximum profit? ufactured Construct a mathematical model in Let x2 and x3 be the numbers of components A B and C respectively that get m programming problem Maximize subject to Fabrication time restriction Assembly time restriction . ,x2, x3 20
Explanation / Answer
Hi,
Its against chegg policy to post multiple questions as one, please post others as separate questions, solving the first one as mandated by chegg.
1. In this we have to form the LP model for the given problem,
given x1,x2,x3 are count of number of items of A,B and C,
since we want to maximize profit, P is given by 7x1+8x2+10x3 - we want to maximize this,
given each A takes 2 hours of fabrication and 1 hour of assembly
given each B takes 3 hours of fabrication and 1 hour of assembly
given each C takes 2 hours of fabrication and 2 hours of assembly
therefore total fabrication hours is 2x1+3x2+2x3<=1150
therefore total aseembly hours is x1+x2+2x3<=950
Thumbs up if this was helpful, otherwise let me know in comments
