I am suppossed to do a data analysis project for my statistics class based on a Data Set for Automobiles. I need to compile a list of variables that I am going to use in this project and need some help coming up with some. If you could help brainstorm and come up with a good list of variables based on the information provided in the Data Set you can get some points. The following is what the Data Set consists of: (There is an excel spreadsheet with all the numbers for the observations. Again, what I'm looking for is a list of variables to use for this project. For most of the pairs of variables, the linear relationship between the variables is strong positive or strong negative.
Now, we have to check the claim whether the city MPG and highway MPG is significantly different or not. For checking this claim or hypothesis we have to use the paired sample t test. The null and alternative hypothesis for this test is given as below:
Null hypothesis: H0: There is no any significant difference in the average city MPG and highway MPG.
Alternative hypothesis: Ha: There is a significant difference in the average city MPG and highway MPG.
