Question
You're doing a pretend experiment on mulitple personality disorder with two groups:
1) caucasians (group 1, H0 - multiple personality disorder is more prevalent in caucasians)
2) african americans (group 2, H1 - multiple personality disorder is more prevelent in african americans)
BELOW IS A FAKE DATA TABLE THAT EXPLAINS YOUR RESULTS OF YOUR INPUT:
QUESTION:
a) Explain how you would collect your data in a way that makes the dependent?samples t?test the appropriate choice over the independent?samples design.
b) Explain the major advantage to a repeated?measures design as opposed to an independent?measures design.
c) What is affected most by the change in research methodology?

Firstly you should know that when Paired t-test is applied (Note: example of Paires t-test. It is appied when a medicine is test in human being. For example, we want to know that their is effect of a perticular medicine or not to the clucose level. So, we can compared the glucose level between before used medicine and after medicine). The t-test is appled when data is continous. But frequency you can not appleis to the two frequency data.
Comment to your Table. Your test statistic is 2-tailed test. Therefore, the Null hypothesis is "The disoder in these two group is same VS alternative hypothesis " The disorder in these two group is diffewrent". The calculated p-value is 0.07. If we compared in 5% level of significant, it will accept null hypotheisi. If we compared at 10% level of significance, it will accep the alternative hypothesis.
1) Ans: You can collect the number of disoder among the Caucasians (n1) out of your total Caucasians (N1). Similarly, you can collect the number of disoder among the African American (n2) out of your total African American (N2).
Applied the Two sample normality test for proportion.
b) Ans: The major advantage to a repeatedmeasures design over to an independentmeasures design is that in this measured the precision will be increase. That is the average of repeaded measure will give good result than a individual data point.
c) Depend on reseach methodology, it will effect most of the analysis. They are,
Collection of dara, test statistics, results etc.
